I’m a huge makeup junkie and always on the lookout for brand new products which are on a budget as well. I literally swear by drugstore brands and makeup products, as their so affordable but also such great quality and some are even better then high end brands. In this post I’ll be sharing with you my top ten makeup products under £15 (!!!) I tried to include a product from each category (base, eyes, brows and lips).
Foundation – Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation £10.99
This is probably my fave ever foundation!! I’m always after that dewy, radiant and glow-y look when it comes to my makeup, I love a good healthy look and this foundation does exactly that. It’s so super dewy and blends like a dream as well. I’d say this foundation is more a medium coverage and its build able as well as it doesn’t have a thick consistency and feels so light on the skin as well. This foundation is £10.99 which a tiny bit price-y for a drugstore foundation but it’s deffo worth every penny. I’ve actually nearly run out of bottle so need to stock up on another one ASAP!!
Concealer – Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue £8.99
Yet another Bourjois product.. can you tell I’m completely obsessed with Bourjois products! I’ve raved on about this concealer for ages and it’s by far my fave ever! It deffo gives that healthy radiant glow like the foundation does too. The consistency of this concealer is SO creamy and it’s super easy to blend out. It deffo covers up any spots and blemishes I have and on days when I want minimal makeup I just use this all over my spots and under my eyes and it looks so natural but glow-y.
Contour – Collection Highlight and Sculpt £4.19
This contour kit by collection is so super handy as it contains a highlighter and a contour shade. As you see, I’ve completely hit pan on the highlighter shade as I just LOVE it (!!!) I’m not so keen on the contour shade as it’s a bit too dark for me but I do make it work at times. It’s such a great product if your own a budget and are looking for a good quality contour kit.
Blush Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher £2.99
This blusher from Miss Sporty is probably the perfect blush shade for me. As I mentioned before I’m always after that healthy glow-y look and this blister adds the perfect amount of subtle pink to your cheeks whilst also adding some radiant glow as well. Also it’s only £2.99 so it’s super affordable and such great quality as well. A little goes a long way with this blusher as it’s very pigmented as well.
Brow gel – Maybelline Brow Drama
To be honest I’ve had this brow gel for ages but didn’t really get round to using as I used to always fill my brows in with a powder and then go in with a clear brow gel. But after realising that those two steps look long in itself I opted to try a coloured brow gel and I really liked it. I’ve used to for couple months and it’s really great as it has a pointy brush at the end which helps comb all the brows hairs at once and the brush isn’t that big as a whole as well. It’s such a quick step in my routine and it makes my brows looks really full as well.
Eyeshadow – Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Eyeshadow Flawless Matte £8.00
Makeup Revolution is another drugstore that I adore as their products are just amazing (!!!) This eyeshadow palette is only £8 and it contains 32 shades in total, I mean that I’m itself says a lot about it. This is the matte version, I also have the more shimmery shades as well and I love that too! This palette has a bunch of matte shades ranging from the brown tones to the more warm pinks and corals! It’s also includes 2 dark shades on the bottom right hand corner which is always so handy to have dark shades in a palette. I love to use one of the warm orange-y red shades all over my eyelid and I love the contrast between the matte eyes and the glow-y face makeup!!
Mascara – Maybelline Great Lash Mascara £5.99
This mascara is one of those ‘an oldie but a goodie’!! I used to only use this for my bottom lashes as it has a small brush which is great for the bottom lashes and easily coats all the bottom lashes. However, when I was getting ready for uni one day I was in a rush and I just used this mascara on my top lashes as well and at the time I didn’t realise how good it was. After repeating couple times I loved how it looked! It separated all the lashes and had no clumps what so ever as well , again I love to use this product on a more minimal makeup day!
Eyeliner – L’Oréal Super Liner Perfect Slim £5.99
Now I’m not an eyeliner type of person at all, I probably wear eyeliner like once a blue moon. However when I do wear it, this is deffo the one I go for as it’s super easy to use and glides on like a dream! The nib of the eyeliner is super slim so it’s great to get that perfect cat flick liner look.
Matte Lip Cream – Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream £2.99
If you’ve been following me on Instagram ( which you deffo should over on Instagram.com/ayseemerve ) you’ll know that during Boxing Day sales I went all out and stocked up on this matte lip cream from Collection!! I just LOOVE this lip cream, everything about it is just perfect, the formula, the consistency and especially the shade! This lip cream is one of them ‘my lips but better’ type of shade. It’s the perfect pinky nude colour that looks super natural on your lips. The lip cream dries matte on your lips but it’s way less drying than a liquid lipstick consistency, it’s so much more lighter on the lips and feels amazing!!
Satin Lipstick – Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipstick – Sunday Walk £6.99
I’m a huge lover of Tanya Burr Cosmetics products and their lipsticks are my fave go to satin lipsticks as well. The formula and consistency of these lipsticks are so creamy and it glides on the lips very easily as well. I found that these lipsticks stay on my lips for about 2 hours and then it starts to wear off, which I think is amazing considering the price and the fact that it’s from the drugstore!! It’s my fave ever lipstick brand and I am sure to get my hands on more shades soon (!!)
These are my top ten makeup recommendations from the drugstore which are all under £15!! Hope you enjoyed reading this post and comment down below if you have tried any of these before!
