If you’ve been following me for a while, then you’ll know I love to test out and try a heap of products whether that makeup or skincare, even though it’s probably not good to switch up your products that often but hey ho! I find that testing out makeup doesn’t take as long as skincare products as obvious skincare products don’t do their thing and show their magic at least after 2 weeks of using them, so therefore it takes long to trial and review them! In today’s post I wanted to share some of my current skincare obsessions as I cannot get enough of them at the mo’. Some of these products renew additions to my collection and some are products that I have purchased months ago but still adore them now.
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
Don’t even know where to start with this face mask… This is hands down my favourite face mask ever and its the best one I tried ~ and that’s a statement and a half to make ~ I have an oily and a spot prone skin so I find that detoxifying charcoal masks help my skin a lot, in the sense that they help balance to the oilyness from deep down my skin and dry out any active spots I have. This Himalayan charcoal mask has been in my collection since March this year and I’ve loved it ever since!! This has a thick texture to it as it contains charcoal as an ingredient and also has dried green tea leaves in it, which makes the mask smell AMAZING but also super hard to wash off! This is one of those face masks that I put on, on a Sunday evening and read my book or watch YouTube whilst it dries away. I use this once a week as it’s a powerful mask for me as i have to do a lot of scrubbing my face to get it off and also I do mid-week masks too so once a week is enough! I’ve tried other detoxifying masks before but I found that this is the most effective one out of them for me. Would highly recommend anyone who has oily and spot prone skin like me, this mask works wonders!!
Dermalogica Pre-cleanse Oil (gifted)
The team at Dermalogica very kindly gifted me a few products to try out and to let you guys know how I went on with them and its safe to say I am loving this pre-cleanse oil from them. To be honest I always thought a pre-cleanse was a hassle and an extra step in my skincare routine that I didn’t need but so glad to got to try this out! I don’t use this on a daily as I don’t wear makeup daily but when I do wear makeup this works a miracle! I always take my makeup off with micellar water and then go in with a pump of this pre-cleanse oil and massage my skin thoroughly and then wash it off and its that easy. This product is oil based and turns into a milky consistency when it comes into contact with water. This is such a gentle product that doesn’t require a lot of scrubbing and even though I have oily skin I found that it doesn’t make it any oiler.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
I took this cleanser on my summer travels with me as this is a relatively good size to travel with and it was brand new and I wanted to take something I haven’t used before. I’m so glad I took this on holiday with me as it is so easy and gentle on the skin! It doesn’t bubble up on the skin not doesn’t require too much scrubbing, it’s literally the perfect cleanser! I use about 2 pumps of this morning and night to cleanse my skin and it does the job. You can also get 10% off of your first order with Glossier by shopping through my link HERE!!
Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Booster (gifted)
This is another product I got to try out from the Dermalogica bundle and it was a saviour for my post holiday breakouts. A week after I got back from Turkey my skin broke out really bad and I started getting spots, blemishes and dry patches out of the blue and this product helped dry out my spots and tone down the blemishes as it has Salicylic acid which is really good to help get rid of spots.
Simple Eye Roll On
This is by far the best eye cream I’ve tried!! It has a roll on ball at the end which makes the application super easy ad quick to pop under your eyes. Additionally, the roll on ball is metal so it has an extra cooling effect around the eyes and its the perfect thing to use in the morning!!
L’Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water
This is probably one of the best products I’ve discovered this year! This L’Oreal moisturiser has travelled with me all summer and has been my number 1 product this summer and still is now, I just love it!! It’s initially an aloe water based moisturiser that gives great hydration to the skin!! I’ve used this a lot when my face was a bit sunburnt in Turkey and it has worked wonders!! I’m already half way through this bottle but I already have another bottle in my collection. I feel like this is a great moisturiser to use from spring to autumn, but I’d switch up to a more heavy and thick moisturiser during winter!
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post! Comment down below if you’ve tried any of these products before or if you willing to try any of these?
