I’m finally getting round to writing a blog post on my current skincare routine and the products I use. I always switch up my skincare routine depending on my skins needs at that moment and any active breakouts I have. For the past 3 weeks I’ve been sticking to this routine and I’ve definitely seen improvements and changes in my skin overtime!

A.M ROUTINE:

Cleanser: The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash.

I have oily; blemish prone skin, so any product that has tea tree extracts in it is great for my skin, as tea tree helps dry out spots and blemishes. This cleanser has a gel like formula, and it foams a tiny bit when in contact with water. Usually, cleansers which foam when in contact with water are said to dry out the skin, however that doesn’t happen with me as I have an oily skin so in fact, it balances it out for me! This cleanser has a very strong fragrance to it, which I don’t actually like to be honest, it’s very pungent, but it doesn’t leave my skin smelling like that so all is good! I found that after washing my face with this cleanser, my skin looks more brighter and radiant, which I love!

Toner: Pixi Glow Tonic. (gifted)

This is my all time favourite toner that I’ve been using for a v long time now and my skin absolutely loves it! It has 5% Glycolic acid and this toner is an acid based chemical exfoliator so it does the job of a scrub or peeling would do! I use this toner when I’m having breakouts on my skin or when a blemish is about to make an appearance. Pixi Glow Tonic has the properties of an exfoliator so it initially deep cleans the skin in prep for the next step in your routine. This also gives a great GLOW to the skin!

Eye Cream: Glossier Bubblewrap.

I was always the type of person to use eye cream but not see it helping or doing anything to the eye area, until I started using this glossier bubblewrap! This product is advertised as an eye and lip cream but I only use it as an eye cream! This is initially moisturiser for your eye area, it’s a cream texture, and I only use one pump for both eyes. When I use this eye cream I feel like it makes me feel more awake. Lately, i’ve been having dry patches around my eye area, and this product helped combat that instantly! It also gives a nice glow and dewy-ness under my eyes and I found that concealer looks so much better when applied on top of bubblewrap!

Moisturiser: Pixi pHenomenal Gel. (gifted)

I’m a huge lover of gel textured moisturises and products, so I instantly knew I’d love this one! This is a moisturiser that neutralises the pH balance of the skin, which is great for anyone who uses acids in their skincare routine! This is a thick gel textured product that gives my skin an instant boost of glow and radiance when I apply it, which I LOVE! Even though the consistency is thick compared to other gel-textured products it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all.

SPF: Glossier Invisible Shield.

It’s very important to wear SPF daily even in winter to prevent sun damage and early ageing of your skin! I do forget to wear it sometimes, but when I do I always wear this Glossier Invisible Shield which is SPF 30. It has a gel like texture (no surprise) so its super easy to apply and it doesn’t sit on top of your skin at all. It also smells SO good of all the citrus goodness!

P.M ROUTINE:

Micellar Water: Glossier Milky Oil.

If I’m wearing makeup that day i’ll start off my evening skincare routine by removing my makeup first, if I’m not wearing makeup then I’ll just go in with a cleanser. I currently use the Glossier Milky Oil to remove my makeup, its an oil based micellar water which is my preferred type of micellar water as I find that they take off waterproof mascara the best and pick up any makeup residue on the skin! I find that this definitely does a good job in removing waterproof mascara and it definitely doesn’t sting the eyes either!

Cleansing Oil: Dermalogica Pre-cleanse. (gifted)

I like to go in with an oil cleanser to remove any excess makeup from my skin and I’m currently using this Dermalogica Pre-cleanse which I love! It’s not a thick oil at all and feels very luxurious on the skin. I use one pump of it and massage the oil all over my face and then rinse it off with warm water!

Cleanser: The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash (mentioned above).

Toner/ Chemical Exfoliator: Glossier Solution.

I was very intrigued to try this product, as it was a very controversial product when it was first released! I’m definitely on the positive side with this product as it helped clear my active breakouts and blemishes within 2/3 days and it didn’t leave my skin feeling dry in any way! This product contains 10% AHA/BHA/PHA which has skin clearing properties! It also helps keep my oily skin at bay and reduces the oiliness around my T-zone area!

Essence: Pixi Rose Caviar Essence. (gifted)

I’ve recently been using essences in my skincare routine and I definitely think its made a difference on how my skin looks and feels! This Pixi rose essence is a very lightweight gel formula with bits of rose extracts! It has a very light rose smell to it but its not disturbing at all! This is super hydrating on my skin and gives me a boost of moisture! The morning after I use it, my skin feels very smooth and brighter looking!

Eye Cream: Glossier Bubblewrap (mentioned above).

Moisturiser: Pixi pHenomenal Gel (gifted) (mentioned above).

I still haven’t tried anything from Glossier which seems crazy to me. I wish I could get on board with glow tonic but my skin is really sensitive to glycolic and I feel like I’m missing out. My skin is very dry so we don’t share much in our routines but it’s great that these products are working for you right now x
