February Empties | 2019

18/03/2019

This is quite a late empties post for February’s products, but better late then never! I’m quite proud with the amount of products I’ve used up lately to be honest!

  1. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – I’ve had this micellar water for what seems like forver, it’s the massive ones and really lasts a very very long time! I only like using this micellar water to remove my base makeup when I dont have a lot of product on. I probally won’t be buying these again, just because I prefer the oil infused one.

Would I repurchase?

No.

2. Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream; Caramel 2 – I always go on and on about this lip cream as its one of my faves. Its the ‘my lips but better’ shade the perfect nude in my opinion. It’s not too drying as its a lip cream. It does budge a little after eating and drinking, but that isnt a big issue for me as i love the formula and shade.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.

3. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Enhancer – I was excited to try this product once i brought it, however it was a let down as it literally didn’t work one bit. It’s an orange mouse like cream product, i used it under makeup as a primer, part of my skincare in the mornings and it just wouldn’t work and actually would peel off slightly when trying to blend the product in.

Would I repurchase?

No!

4. NSPA Shea Body Butter – I love me a good body butter as a moisturiser, and I’ve really been trying to get into moisturising my body more and making a habit. This body butter is a fairly small size, so didnt last me that long to be honest. It has a lovely shea butter scent to it and its super soft and feels lovely on the skin. I’d say it stays on the skin and feels moisturised for about 2 days until you need to top it up again.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.

5. Superdrug Blemish Rescue Gel – This is probably one of the only blemish/spot treatment that works for me. This blemish gel has Niacinimide and Salysilic acid in which both help with drying out spots and blemishes. This is great value for money product as well, as its Superdrug own brand.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.

6. Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water – This is my fave micellar water to take my makeup off, as its oil based it even removes waterproof mascara without leaving any residue. This doesn’t hurt, sting or burn my eyes and face and it’s just a great makeup remover.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.

7. Hugo Boss Body Lotion – This was part of a gift set that I received on my birthday, as I won’t usually go for this. This is a very lightweight textured body lotion, its heavily scented which I didn’t like about it to be honest. It moisturises but it doesn’t last more than couple hours.

Would I repurchase?

No.

8. L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Gel Scrub – I brought this when I was in Turkey, hence the writing on it is in Turkish. I thoroughly enjoyed using this scrub, as its a gel like formula, so isn’t harsh on the skin at all. This definitely leaves my skin feels soft and pure.

Would I repurchase?

Yes.

Those were all of my empties for February! Comment down below if you’ve used any of these products before!

Hi! I just wanted to say that I like the angle of this post. Nobody cares about what beauty products we buy, the important are the ones we actually finish!
And thanks for the tips, I was actually looking for a makeup remover, I’m not satisfied with mine!

  2. Great round up! So annoying about the Body Shop product though – I’ve had products that do that, and it drives me mad because you have to start your whole face routine again!!

  3. I love empties posts! It’s a shame that the TBS vitamin C glow enhancer didn’t work for you. I was tempted to try it out but now I won’t bother xxx

The cleansing water is always a must for me, can’t use anything else tbh! I haven’t tried that particular L’Oréal product but I do have a similar product and I love it!

  5. I love reading people’s empties xx

  6. I love empty posts because you know that the person knows how the product has worked because they’ve used the entire thing. It’s such a shame about the body shop vitamin c product because the rest of that range is incredible and so I would’ve loved for it to work. I’m wanting to pick up the oil infused micellar water and now that I’ve seen you’ve recommended it over the other one I think I’m gonna get it, I find the original much too drying for my skin! I have been really loving oil based products despite the fact I have oily skin. A great post!

Everyone raves about the oil infused Micellar water but my skin is oily so I can’t really use it which sucks
