Another foody post, another craving of mine! This time I was really craving some homemade nachos, I’ve been making these since 2016 summer and they are honestly the perfect snack and a great alternative for crisps and even a tad more healthier and these are soo easy to make as well! I also wanted to make a dip for the nachos too but instead of having salsa like always I wanted to try something else. I’ve never had avocados before as I found the texture so weird so never really tried it but I wanted to give it a go this time and make guacamole! I’m actually having some of this as I’m typing right now and IT TASTES AMAZING (!!!!)
You will need;
Step one: Place all three of your tortilla breads on top of each other so that they are layered.
Step two: Cut your tortilla breads in half and another half again, so you have 4 quarters of layered tortillas.
Step three: Slice your tortilla breads into small triangular shapes or into small strip like shapes depending on how you want your nachos to be like!
Step four: Place all the little triangular bread pieces into a plastic bowl and drip some vegetable oil into it, not too much though as we just want some so that it could go brown in colour and the herbs can ‘stick’ onto the bread pieces.
Step five: Chuck in whatever herbs you fancy and sprinkle some salt in too, and mix with your hand until all tortilla pieces are covered with oil and herbs!
Step six: Lay out each tortilla pieces onto a lined baking tray and pop into the oven for about 16 minutes at 180 degrees celsius, making sure to check every 5 minutes and turning them around!
Step seven: Once your nacho chips are out the oven wait 5 minutes so they can cool down and then VOILA YOUR DONE (!!)
You will need;
Step one: Cut your avocado in half and remove the seed.
Step two: Spoon out both pieces of your avocado into a plastic bowl and mash up until it’s a smooth creamy consistency.
Step three: Cut your spring onions and parsley leaves into very small pieces and add it into your mashed avocados.
Step four: Sprinkle some salt into the bowl and you want loads of it as avocado on its own has a really bland taste. At this point add in any herbs of your choice too!
Step five: Cut your lemon into half and squeeze out as much as the juice as your can into the avocado mixture.
Step six: Finally using a fork/spoon mix together everything until your guacamole has come to a nice creamy consistency and spoon it into a small dip dish and serve with the nachos!
THATS IT!! ENJOY YOUR HOMEMADE NACHOS AND GUACAMOLE WITH A COLD BEVERAGE!
Hope you enjoyed this post and comment down below if you have ever tried making nachos before or if you have a different recipe to mine!
