Well hello there, it’s been a while since I last posted on my blog; 3 months to be precise!! That is a long time of not posting, however at the beginning of July I went on a 2 month vacation to Turkey which meant I didn’t really have time to post content on here, but I was active on my Instagram so you can follow me through HERE to see my holiday posts! I spent majority of my time in Izmir throughout that 2 months, which meant I had all the time to explore Izmir thoroughly. I took LOADS of photos obviously whilst in Izmir so I thought I’d share them on here as a little travel diary of what I got up to. One last thing, I did go on a travel tour again this year and I will do a big blog post all about that soon too, as there’s loads of photos and info to share about that!
Me and my cousin went on a day trip to Çeşme/Alaçatı and Seferihisar in July to explore those areas as we haven’t been to Seferihisar before. I’ve visited Çeşme and Alaçatı before couple times so I knew those areas already, but Seferihisar was beautiful and I’d love to visit it again.
We’ve had many evening trips to Bostanlı to watch the sunset and have dinner and desserts at a restaurant. I could definitely say I saw the most amazing sunsets this year in Izmir!
We visited Ayvalik with my family and cousins for 5 days for a beach getaway and it was the best! We all got to chill out, sunbathe, get an amazing tan (!!!) and soak up the sea and sun. I’m already missing the beach days and not having anything to do all day other than just sitting by the beach and reading!
Alsancak was one of my favourite places to visit again and again whilst in Izmir to have a wonder around, spot of shopping and to have lunch! The sunset looks incredible there as well.
This is one of my favourite pictures I took whilst in Izmir, as it just sums up Izmir in a nutshell and the clock tower is one of Izmir’s significant areas.
Asansör was one of the places I wanted to visit so bad this summer as you get to see the whole of Izmir from above and the view is just incredible.
And lastly, this was from my last night in Izmir. We went to Alsancak for dinner and walked by the Kordon to Konak, to get the ferry from there and the Konak Pier just looked beautiful at night with the lights reflecting onto the ocean.
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and having a glimpse at my summer vacation photos. Comment down below one thing you got up to during this summer!
Ayse Merve! x
