Before I went on holiday I purchased some products from the new Chasing The Sun range by Tanya Burr Cosmetics. It’s safe to say that I had zero idea I would fall in love with them! This range is perfect for those who are after a healthy, natural, glowy look! I only purchased the highlighters and the lip balms. However in this range there are also two contour sticks as well. I actually gave the highlighter in the shade ‘warm bronze’ to my cousin for her birthday so I only used the other two highlighters. I took these products on holiday with me to Turkey and least to say these were the perfect products for me.
I didn’t wear makeup everyday when I was on holiday and to be honest I don’t wear makeup everyday anyway, but however when I do these powder highlighters are definitely my go to products along with the lip balms as their super easy to apply and give off such a pretty natural look on your skin.
When I first saw these lip balms I knew straightaway that these were the perfect ones for me, as I am a lip balm hoarder! I literally have one draw full just of lip balms in my makeup collection, so these were the perfect addition! As I mentioned earlier as I don’t wear makeup daily, which means I also don’t wear lipstick or gloss everyday! I find that a sheer tinted lip balm is great for a daily use and this is exactly what these lip balms are for! They keep my lips feeling super moisturised throughout the day along with adding a hint of colour to it! I use the ‘sweet lime pie’ one daily (also how freakin’ cuteeee are the names of them) and it looks green/yellow in the pot but it actually comes out clear so it’s perfect for a daily touch up! I use the ‘strawberry milkshake’ and ‘blackberry coulis’ shades on days where I’m having more of a natural and simple makeup look. In the pot they look super dark however when you apply to your lips they aren’t that pigmented their the perfect sheer tinted balms.
When I first got hold of these products these highlighters were the products that got me very excited. Firstly the packaging of these products are just so sleek looking with their gold rim around the front and in my opinion it makes the product look more expensive than it actually is. Speaking of price, these are budget friendly in my opinion and the pigmentation of the products makes every penny worth. As you can see there is a pink one in the shade ‘peonies please’ and a slight golden looking one in th shade ‘champagne sorbet’. These products are so versatile that you can use the highlighters as blushes and eyeshadows. I actually use the ‘peonies please’ highlighter as a blusher as it has a more pinky tint to it so it gives the cheeks such a healthy and natural look. The shade ‘champagne sorbet’ works incredible as a highlighter I have to say it is my new favourite highlighter for sure (!!!) What I most like about these products are that you can build it up, so you can use a little bit for a subtle glow or go to town with this product and create that -WOW- blinding highlighter! Personally I always go all out with the highlight and I like that what so called ‘blinding’ effect, especially when the sun hits it, it just looks AMAZINGGG (!!!)
I really think Tanya herself and the whole Tanya Burr Cosmetics team did a great jobs with these products and I cannot wait for some more amazing products from them!! Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know down in the comments below which is your fave products from this range if you have them and if not which is your fave Tanya Burr Cosmetics products!
