During this quarantine, I was able to get back into reading just like a lot of people. I always love reading but once I stop for a week or two, it just stays like that and I don’t end up picking a book up again. I’ve recently finished a big 500 page turkish book (Serenad – Livaneli) which really helped me get back into reading and falling in love with it again. I’ve compiled a list of books I want to read in the upcoming month or two and thought I’d share them in a blogpost.
Fraud: Essays – David Rakoff: I saw Lizzy reading this on Instagram and was intrigued by it as I really like essay collection books, as they tend to be easy to read.
Norwegian Wood – Murakami
Kafka on the Shore – Murakami
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle – Murakami: I’m currently reading Sputnik Sweetheart by Murakami and have fell in love with his writing style and immediately added a bunch of his books onto my reading list.
Coventry: Essays – Rachel Cusk: This is another book I’ve been seeing on Instagram lately which really grabbed my attention because of the cover. It’s again a collection of essays, which I’m so interested in at the mo’.
Autumn – Ali Smith
Winter – Ali Smith
Spring – Ali Smith: This is another author which I’ve been meaning to buy the books of. This series of seasonal books sound so interesting, in which Smith uses her metaphorical language to describe the season in terms of art, love and laughter which just seems so lovely to read.
These are some of the books that are on my reading list at the moment, once I collect them and read them, I will eventually leave mini reviews on it, in a blog post! What are some of the books on your reading list?
