Product Empties #2

Back with a very old school type blog post – product empties (!!) I did my first product empties blog post back in September last year which you can read HERE and ever since I’ve been collecting products to do a second one. I really enjoy watching and readings posts on what products people have used up and their true opinions on it and to be honest it’s just sooo satisfying seeing a product being used up to the very last drop. Personally I buy loads of makeup and skincare for myself so when I use up a product I get very happy as I know I get my money’s worth out of the product and no product goes to waste like this. I will be doing way more product empties posts this year and it’s a great way to keep track of what products I’ve been loving or not so loving and what I’ve used up too.

Naturally Radiant Brightening Day Cream SPF 15

This moisturiser from the Naturally Radiant Collection at Superdrug was one of my faves for a long time as it gave such a Radiant glow to the face. However, I’ve not actually used up this product till the end as when it got near to the end, the consistency of the product changed I think because it was open for a very long time and I found that it made my face look very oily rather than than dewy and glowy and caused couple breakouts as well. I won’t be repurchasing this product as I have couple other moisturisers on my list that I want to try out next.

Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser

I really enjoyed using this moisturiser, as it definitely balanced out the oiliness look on my skin without making me look matte. This was one of the moisturisers that I was using when I had problem skin and breakouts, as I would avoid any oily moisturisers and this was a perfect balance between the two. I love simple products so I will deffo re purchase this product again. Also it is very value for money as well, I believe it’s nothing more than a fiver in Superdrug’s.

Essence Prettifying Lip Oil

This was my first ever lip oil that I tried out and I fell in love with it after first use. I love the brand essence, their products are cheap yet good quality and you definitely get what you pay for. This lip oil isn’t too sticky on the lips but isn’t like a balm either. It had a thick consistency which moisturises and nourishes the lips. I enjoy wearing this lip oil both morning and night, I even wear it on top of some lipsticks and it acts like a gloss whilst also protecting and hydrating the lips. I will definitely purchase this product again and any other flavours that they have.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

No surprise that my fave cleansing water has ran out. I love love love Garnier’s Micellar Water as it’s so gentle on the skin and eyes and it does what it’s meant to and cleanses the skin whilst also taking off the makeup. I already have a giant bottle of this stocked up along with the oil based Micellar Water too – can you tell i am OBSESSED with this product – (!!) What I love about this is that I can use it as a cleanser on its own too and not just to remove my makeup. 100% will repurchase it.

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

I had already tried out the sheet masks from Garnier before but never got round to trying out this one so I was pretty excited as I love the sheet masks from Garnier. This mask was deffo hydrating on my skin and the next morning, my skin felt SO smooth and soft. I’m already a big fan of sheet masks and have added this one to the list as well. I always find sheet masks are so easy and quick to use and you can see results instantly as well. I already have one more of this sheet mask in my skincare draw so I’ve deffo stocked up for now!

Flormar Nail Varnish Remover

I purchased this nail varnish remover back in summer in Turkey whilst I was on holiday, so I’m not quiet sure if they sell this brand in the U.K. There’s not much to say about a nail varnish remover to be honest, it does the job, it doesn’t have a very strong smell and even takes off dark coloured nail varnish too!

Superdrug Colour Dry Shampoo

I hated this product so much! I think what sold me into buying this product was that the dry shampoo was brown in colour so obviously thought that it would be better and blend in with my natural hair colour and wouldn’t leave white marks, but nope deffo not. This product leaves brown marks on my hands after I massage the product into my scalp, it gets very messy when it stains my fingers and hands honestly. Also the feeling on the hair and scalp was very drying and my hair felt very dead and brittle after I used this product. I have finished this can of dry shampoo just to be able to finish it fully and get my money worth but I hated this product, I’ll stick to my Batiste dry shampoo!

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – sample

I received this sample of the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser with my Glossier order couple months ago and tried it instantly as I heard so many good things about it. I’ve only used it once as I only had a sample but it did feel amazing on my skin, it left it feeling super smooth and soft whilst also actually cleansing my skin. I’m 100% going to purchase a bottle of this product soon as it left my skin feeling great! Also you can shop through my link HERE to get a 10% off of your first Glossier purchase (!!)

Flormar Nail Care Calcium Gel

Again I purchased this nail varnish base coat in Turkey, also I really love this brand for nail varnishes such great quality!! I used this calcium gel as a base coat and sometimes as a top coat as well and really enjoyed it! I feel like it definitely made my nails more stronger which lead to them being less brittle and I managed to grow them out a bit. I really loved this product but won’t be able to purchase this again any time soon (not that I need to with a draw full of 64 – very precise I know – nail varnishes with at least 5 of them are top/base coats).

Vaseline Lip Balm

Best lip balm to cure chapped lips! I always use this or the Vaseline tin lip balms to cure my dry and chapped lips during winter, it’s just the best and I love it so much, obvs I would repurchase this soon!

Essence Keep It Perfect Makeup Fixing Spray

This was the first setting spray that I had brought and honestly it was really good despite it being only £3! It did what it had to and set my makeup into place and honestly this product even set my eyeshadow into place on days where I didn’t wear an eyeshadow primer. It doesn’t budge your makeup one bit nor leaks your mascara when applied. It’s so good and will deffo consider repurchasing when I have run out of my current one!

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Mud Mask

I purchased two mud masks from Yes To and one of them being this cucumber one. The product itself was okay however it did sting my face when I applied it and I’m not sure if that was meant to happen or not. However it did make my skin feel soft and clean but it’s hard to see results from a face mask when used only once. But I did really enjoy using this product nevertheless!!

These were my product empties for now, hope you enjoyed reading this post and comment down below if you have tried any of these products before!

  13. I’d love to do a product empties post one day but I literally get through like, no products haha! I’d have to do one at the end of the year in order for any of them to actually be empty! The closest thing to empty I have is my Micellar Water as well – life saver that stuff! xxx

  14. Nancy says:

I always love reading about product empties because it shows how good the product is! I haven’t tried these products before, but I’m always looking to try new things. The cleansing water and tissue mask would be my biggest interests because skincare goes a long way! The milk jelly cleanser sounds like a really promising product as well. Thanks for sharing your list!

  15. You’ve got some good products here. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is my life right now!

  16. The Superdrug colour dry shampoo sounds awful! Such a disappointment that it stains your hands! Batiste does indeed sound like a much better option! The jelly cleanser from Glossier sounds intriguing, I would love to try that out, especially given the fact that you loved it so much after just using the sample pot!

  27. I love your flatlay! I always have a Garnier micellar water on hand! They are so good at taking off my makeup – especially on lazy nights, and I feel like they are slightly better for my skin in terms of cleansing than other makeup removers.
