Saturday in Hampstead

13/10/2019

Yesterday, we went to explore Hampstead for the day, a place I’ve been seeing pop up here and there a lot on Instagram and Pinterest as it’s the perfect place to go during Autumn and Winter. It was raining the whole day, which was a shame as we couldn’t put the umbrellas down not once, but nevertheless it gave it a nice autumnal feel to it.

Hampstead is full of tiny narrow streets, that really give the old English village feel to it, and everyone was right it is the place to visit during autumn/winter. There was loads of houses decked out for autumn and halloween with all of their decorations!

After wandering through the streets of Hampstead and taking about a million photos, we went to Pizza Express for some food which was delish and then headed to the streets again.

We ended the day with a coffee at a coffee shop in Camden which was lovely.

  1. Shame about the rain, but Hampstead still looks lovely. On the positive side, I’m sure the rain kept a lot of people home or inside so you could roam free of crowds.

  2. I love visiting London and I haven’t visited Hampstead before. It looks like a nice place though, I see what you mean about it looking like a village – you wouldn’t think it was in London. Thanks for sharing!

  3. This looks like such a cute little place to visit! I love how quaint and gothic styled the streets are, I’d love to shoot here! Definitely agree about the autumn thing, I think it looks a lot nicer in this light than it would in sunshine 🙂

My favorite books are set in villages and towns like this, and the pages always talk about the rain. Your images have captured the wetness so well; I love the atmosphere of the street and the colorful splash of the flowers.

Hampstead seems very vintage-y and homey in a way! One thing Autumn brings is rain, even though I love the season, I could also do without the rain haha but it does give a great autumnal-vibe. I love your photos, definitely looks like it has an English village feel to it, especially love the path of bricks for what looks like a boardwalk! It seems like the perfect place to walk around and get lost in – also love love love your outfit, so autumnal!

It looks so picturesque in the gloomy weather, totally agree that it wouldn’t look as good with the sun shining. It sounds like a lovely visit x
